Though the weather threatened rain all morning, over 100 cycling enthusiasts and spectators gathered at 11 a.m. on September 10 for the ribbon cutting of the Esposito Park Pump Track. The asphalt track was designed and built by Ontario Bike Park Construction Inc. It is believed to be one of the largest pump tracks in all of Canada.
An all-wheel track designed for cyclists, skateboarders and rollerbladers, the Esposito Pump Track is suitable for users of all ages and abilities. The track also includes an oval and butterfly course that can be used for competitions.
Construction of the track was generously supported by donors Andre Riopel and Dale Harrison, who contributed a combined $75,000 towards the cost of the facility.
