City Council meets regularly every two weeks on Mondays beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the exception of the summer months and statutory holidays. Thanks to our broadcast partners, Shaw and SooToday, the meetings are aired on television and streamed online.
The last meeting of the 2014 to 2018 City Council was November 5, and the newly elected City Council was sworn in on December 3, with the final meeting of the year held on December 10. The full 2019 schedule is included below.
City Council meetings span hours and cover a wide variety of topics, so for the upcoming term I will be highlighting a few of the items that come before Council each month in my blog. Links will be included on this page.
Meanwhile, if you are looking for more information about potentially appearing before Council as a delegation or you are unsure of how a meeting is run, the City Council section of the City’s website features background information, and should you still have any questions you can always contact the City Clerk’s office or the Mayor’s office.
